Finding the right dentist office for your child can be a daunting task. You want doctors who are highly trained, a practice that employs the latest technology and techniques, and staff that can make your child feel as comfortable as possible.
Waco Kids Dental, and its sister practice, Temple Kids Dental, meet all these requirements and offer in-office and hospital sedation and individualized care for children with special needs.
These practices have grown exponentially in the last few years, adding new patients and even a new office in Waco, that is just down the road from their flagship office off Lake Air Drive.
Dr. Aaron Blackwelder established the practice in 2012 and was joined by Dr. Tjel Olson in 2014. The two have helped create a positive dental experience for thousands of Central Texas kids. Both doctors are proud fathers and bring their caring, fatherly nature to their practice. They love making a difference in children’s lives.
As the practice has grown, so has the staff. That includes the addition of four dentists: Dr. Vernesha Lockhart, Dr. Manuel Marien, Dr. Alex Piedra, and Dr. Colleen Segall.
All four doctors have extensive training in pediatric dentistry and Dr. Segall and Dr. Marien have even served as pediatric dentists for military families. Dr. Segall is the newest addition to the team and is looking forward to civilian life helping children build confidence in visiting the dentist.
Not only do these dental offices have doctors with years of experience, but they also have inviting operatories, murals of children’s favorite characters and end-of-visit “goodie” bags that inspire kids to maintain good oral hygiene.
The practice accepts most insurance and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information or to book an appointment, call (254) 772-8330 (Lake Air Dr.) or (254) 224-6008 (Lake Success Dr.) to contact the Waco offices and (254) 771-5701 for the Temple office.
