Million Dollar Casserole

1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained

1 (26 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

1/4 c. sour cream

1 c. cottage cheese

1/2 c. butter

16 oz. penne pasta, boiled and drained

8 oz. grated sharp cheddar

salt, pepper, and additional seasonings as desired


In a bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream and cottage cheese.  Grease a 9x13 baking dish.  Place half of the pasta in the dish.  Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pasta.  Top with the remaining pasta.  Cut the butter into thin slices and place over pasta. Top with ground beef, followed by the spaghetti sauce.  Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.  Can be frozen before baking.  If frozen, allow to thaw in the refrigerator and then bake.  Additional sauce may be needed if baked after frozen.
