Take your acting skills to the next level with "Acting 102: Advanced Acting," a challenging course designed for 9th-12th graders with a passion for theatre. This class delves deep into advanced acting techniques, focusing on character analysis, emotional depth, and scene work from classic and contemporary plays. Students will engage in rigorous exercises to enhance their vocal and physical expression, explore complex characters, and develop their own unique acting style. Our experienced instructor will provide individualized feedback and mentorship, guiding each student to refine their craft and prepare for high-level performances. The course will culminate in a showcase where students can demonstrate their growth and skills in front of an audience. Whether preparing for auditions, college theatre programs, or simply wanting to deepen their acting abilities, "Acting 102: Advanced Acting" offers a comprehensive and enriching experience for dedicated young actors. Class Teacher: Bill Taylor Classes are held every Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 8:50 PM from September 17th to November 5th, followed by a Talent Showcase on November 12th, where all of the 7:30 Tuesday classes will show off what they have learned. Students don't have to attend all the class sessions to sign up; if they need to miss a class session, that's okay. As long as they attend the majority of the classes in the trimester, they will be able to perform at the talent showcase. $15 to book online in advance, $20 in person on the day of the class. *9th-12th grade indicates that a student must be in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, or the equivalent age, as of the 2024-2025 school year.
