Super Handy Thanksgiving Checklist

Thanksgiving is around the corner. Here is a simple checklist for hosting Thanksgiving in your home.

READY. SET. GO!

Create a budget

Determine guest list and extend invites
Create meal plan, if ordering a fresh turkey or catered food, do so now
Make shopping list – buy non-perishables now to save time
Let others know what they can bring
Schedule your time for shopping, decorating, and cooking
Clean an organize your living room, kitchen, spare bedroom, and bathroom, schedule professionals, if necessary
Plan activities for children
Plan table decorations and wash all serving pieces, borrow items if needed
Plan seating
If turkey is frozen, plan when to defrost
Prep as much as possible the day before; pies, chop veggies, etc.
Allow guests to help prepare and clean up afterward
Have a clean-up plan
Have a plan for sharing leftovers, buy disposable storage in advance
