Forever Families: Lyric & Yusuf

The glow of the Christmas tree lights and the sound of little feet running toward the tree to see what Santa brought them is the scene of a truly happy holiday. Every child deserves a warm, loving home during the holidays and year-round. There are hundreds of children in Central Texas who will spend their Christmas in a children’s home or a foster placement, waiting and hoping their biggest wish will come true: to find a forever family.

Meet 14-year-old Lyric and 9-year-old Yusuf. These siblings have a strong bond and need to be adopted together. Lyric is intelligent and her caregivers believe she would easily qualify for the gifted and talented program, but it is not offered at her school. Yusuf loves his sister and his smile brightens every room. He is on the autism spectrum and will need a family that understands his specialized needs to thrive. This sweet boy loves hugs, especially from his sister. Lyric has been Yusuf’s protector and greatest source of comfort and care. They are waiting for a family that will welcome them home with open arms and open hearts. They are special children who are waiting for the unconditional love of a forever family.

You can read their bio at heartgallerytexas.com. Just search the “Sibling Group” tab in View The Gallery.
