HAPPY FEET TWO

Rating: 4 REELS

Rated PG for some rude humor and mild peril. On DVD/Blu-ray 3/13. Ok for kids 6+. http://happyfeettwo.warnerbros.com/index.html; buy on Amazon.

This sequel to 2006's Happy Feet didn't fare well with critics, but I actually really liked it. Yes, the plot wanders a little and parts of it might be a little scary for very young kids, but the penguin chicks are so adorable and the animation so stunning, you and your kids will love them and their cute singing and dancing routines. Along with an environmental message, it's a sweet tale of friendship, family, accepting help from unexpected places, and finding your own unique gifts. Features the voices of Elijah Wood, Alecia Moore (pop singer Pink), Ava Acres, and Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, who hilariously voice two krill vowing to move up the food chain. Bonus features include several making-of featurettes, three sing-alongs, and How to Draw a Penguin.
