Waco Doula was founded by Micah Burgess, CD. in 2013 after practicing as a midwife asst as well as doula for over 20 yrs. We are pleased to announce that we are expanding to the new Waco Doula group. We are committed to helping women have the birth experience they want. We offer 3 different PayTiers in order to accommodate the needs of more women. Each PayTier has different skill levels of experience and specialties of well trained doulas. Waco Doula offers an apprenticeship program for up & coming doulas. Micah is the Sr. Mentor doula for all apprentices.
Here’s what you need to know about doulas: We provide continual support for women during childbirth. We coach & comfort women during labor to create a balance of nurturing and empowerment. We offer not only physical support (comfort measures including massage) but mental & emotional support as well. We know that you can have a great birth experience and we want to help you get there.
