Your Resource For Local Family Fun

Enjoying the Most Wonderful Time of Year

There’s nothing better than watching the official New York City Christmas tree being lit for the first time. That’s the official kick-off to the Christmas season in our house. That’s when the holiday fun really starts.

Taming the Hustle & Bustle

The holiday calendar tends to fill up insanely fast. So it’s important to remember to take time to breathe and relax with the kiddos. Not every second of the Christmas season has to be planned. Treasure the Christmas memories that are specific to your family!

Décor & Magic

Our little family takes decorations very seriously. Each of the girls’ rooms is adorned with a 7 ½ foot pencil tree (perfect for tight spaces). Elise decided to go with a puppy-themed tree this year. While Anya adopted a more sophisticated silver and blue concept.

A few years ago our family jumped on the Elf on the Shelf bandwagon when we welcomed Snowflake Sparkle into the mix. She has definitely added a new sense of Christmas magic to our cozy home. Every morning in December, the girls search the house to find Snowflake Sparkle’s new hiding spot.

Comfort & Joy

Matching PJs are a must for my girls, especially during this time of year. I love finding that perfect matching set, and the kiddos get so giddy when they see each other wearing the same outfit.

There’s nothing better than grabbing a cup of hot chocolate and snuggling up on the couch on a cold, rainy Saturday and watching our favorite shows: Fuller House, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman to name a few.

So take a page from our relaxing Christmas playbook and enjoy the season!
